Q. What is the Smiths Falls Community Food Bank?

The Smiths Falls Community Food Bank is a non-profit organization that provides EMERGENCY food supplies to community members in need.

A food bank is a broad term for an organization that acquires, stores, and distributes food to hungry individuals and families in need in their community. Food banks receive support from both public and private initiatives, such as local food drives, umbrella organizations, local farms and agricultural programs, food and produce manufacturers and other types of distributors.

We serve Smiths Falls, Jasper, Lombardy, Montague Township, Merrickville, Toledo, and surrounding areas. If you have any questions, you can contact us here.

Q. What are your hours?

We are open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. We are also open on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In the summer months (June, July, and August), we are open from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM.

Q. What are your donation drop-off hours?

  • Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Otherwise, please call ahead to make an appointment.

Q. I’ve never used the food bank before, what should I bring?

Please bring proof of current address and identification for you and for every family member that will be receiving food. For more information, please check out our Start Here page.

Q. Who can use the food bank?

If you reside in the areas we serve, the only requirement to use the Smiths Falls Community Food Bank is need.
